Todd Leduc lead the field from pole at the start of the Jason Baldwin Memorial Cup Pro-2 Qualifier, as three trucks behind him clobbered each other going into turn 1. Soon Todd was under pressure from racing veteran Rob MacCachren as they started lap 2. The pair left the rest of the field as they battled for the lead over the next 5 laps. Rob finally passed Todd only to be passed right back again. Then Rob made his way past again when the mandatory yellow flag waved on lap 7.
As the field took the green again with 8 laps to go, Todd fought to take the lead spot again from Rob and finally squeezed past going into turn 1 on lap 10. Then Rob, desperate to regain the lead, spun and dropped back to 5th place. As Todd drove away from the field, Jerry Whelchel assumed second place with Ricky Johnson and Carl Renezeder both using Weismann Underdrives close behind.
Leduc rocketed to his first race win of the CORR Pro-2 season using our latest Offroad Underdrive for the first time this season. While behind him, Ricky took advantage of a hard landing by Whelchel coming of the ski jump and passed him for second on the final front stretch. It was a 1-2 finish for the new "W-underdrive" with Carl taking the 4th spot with his championship winning Wunderdrive.
