"We debuted this truck for the first time at the Lucas Oil World Series of Off-Road Racing event this weekend. I raced it in two class races before entering the Cup race and here we are in Victory Circle!" - exclaimed Carl Renezeder.
The New Nissan Titan debuted this weekend at Crandon raceway. With only a few laps of testing on saturday morning, Carl drove the truck from the back of the grid to finish on the podium in 3rd place in both of the Pro-4 races. He previous truck was an automatic, so Carl needed just a little time to get used to his new truck and our 5 speed manual gearbox.
The Potawatomi Chairman's Cup challenges Pro-2 trucks against Pro-4 trucks in a 10 lap shootout around the famed 1.5 mile track. The Pro-2 trucks get a handicap starting in front of the Pro-4 trucks. As the race sorted itself after the hectic start, Mike Olberg in a Pro-2 led the way with Scott Douglas' Pro-4 running second and Carl running next to last in 16th.
Carl soon found his rythmn and starting rocketing thru the field, picking off trucks. By the end of lap 6, Carl was in second place and 9 seconds down on Olberg. Then Carl reeled in 3 seconds over the next lap and half, then another 5 seconds in the next lap and a half and set the lap record on lap 8.!
"Once I got a radar lock on Olberg, I went for it!"- explained Carl.
Carl made quick work of the remaining gap and was hounding Olberg's rear bumper as the flew over the Crandon leap. Carl made a great pass in the Argonne turn on the final lap and pulled away to win in spectacular fashion!

Carl's new Titan features a Weismann manual 5 speed coupled to a new 4WD transfer case to drive the front and rear wheels. The transfer case and drivetrain features some new advantages over the previous design pictured above.
