Travis started out the weekend on the Suzuki, but a loud bang at half track forced Travis to roll out the new Kawasaki bike that he made for James Mobley. Travis qualified the Kawi in his favorite #2 spot with a 202 mph passs at 6.90s. Everybody was having trouble getting a hold of the track as the times were a few tenths slower than what they usually put down.
Defending champion Keith Lynn took the third slot with a 6.97s pass and was consistantly the quickest all weekend to the 1000 ft mark, but each time, Keith had to roll out of the throttle to straighten up the bike. Travis, Keith and Troy Brown all skated into the quarter finals.
Then Keith and Travis advanced to the semi final rounds while Troy was taken out by Mark Coulson. Travis got a bye into the final round. Couslon had to run Keith, and Keith was gone at the lights with a .048 reaction time, but again had to roll out of it to save it and was taken out by Coulson.
Travis was left at the tree, but by the 60 ft mark had already reeled in Coulson and then left him in the weeds as Coulson slowed. Travis took his first win of 2007 with a 6.90s pass at 187 mph!. Travis also posted top mph for the weekend. Travis now trails Keith for the Championship lead with 340 points to Keith's 415 points.
