Vern Gilbert and Andreas Trost piloted their carbon fiber Platinum 41' Raptor Vee to first place in P1 class in the 68th Rum Run. Seen here heading out for the start of the grueling lap to Catalina Island and back to Long Beach Harbor, the duo battled over the 57 mile course in 40 minutes, averaging 85.5 mph to finish 5th overall !
The Platinum Vee, fresh from winning the 2006 National Championship, runs our "Drysump 6's" and "drop boxes".
