It has been a quiet season for Travis Davis, but suddenly he was back in the lime light with a commanding win at 19th Annual Pingel Thunder Nationals in Indiana. Travis was top qualifier and top speed holder as he cruised through eliminations.
In the final round he had to work for it. Travis had the hole shot on current Champ Keith Lynn by a scant .001 of a second, and as they went thru the traps, Travis recorded a 6.602 second run at 205.82 mph, to Keith's 6.719 second run at 211.96 mph!
Close final round with two
different powerplants using two different Weismann drag transmissions.
Keith on the Kawasaki with the KZ3 and Travis on the Suzuki with his GS3.
