Weismann Dominates CORR Pro-4 and Pro-2 Championships!

Nov 14, 2008

In arguably the best racing seen to date in CORR, race trucks competing with our cutting edge products dominated the Pro classes throughout the year. In Pro-4, the top 4 race trucks won 11 out of 12 races with Weismann products! And in Pro-2, the top 3 race trucks won 10 out of 12 races with the Wunderdrive!

Unfortunately for the racers and the fans of CORR, the season was cut short due to economic woes and the last two race weekends have been cancelled.

To be fair in Pro-4, Rick Huseman and Carl Renezeder, both tied for 1st with 1108 points, were crowned co-Champions, even though Carl had 2 more wins than Rick. To Rick's credit, he emerged as the man to beat all year, qualifying often in the top spot, leading most of the races, setting fastest laps, and never finishing out of the top 7.

Scott Douglas and rookie Kyle LeDuc finished 3rd and 4th in the championship respectively with only 47 points separating the top 4 drivers.

In Pro-2 Rob MacCachren switched to Menzies Motorsports and rewarded his new team with the Pro-2 Championship, winning 6 out of the 12 races! He had only one bad race all year where he finished 18th, but in the other 11 races he placed no lower than 6th. Chief mechanic Dave Clark was instrumental in providing Rob with a superb truck to showcase his skill.

In second place was 2006 Pro-2 Champion Carl Renezeder with 2 wins, 4 second places, and 3 thirds! Rounding out the top 3 was Todd Le Duc with a pair of dominating wins mid season in Pomona. Supercross Champion Jeremy McGrath finished the season in 6th place driving for Baldwin Racing.

Out of the 28 racers in Pro-2, only 4 are using the Weismann Wunderdrive. It should be clear to the opposition, if they want battle for the top 3 in the Championship, they need to update their powertrain to Weismann!

Championship Off Road Racing announced the cancellation of its final race weekend of the 2008 season. Championship Off Road Racing CEO Jim Baldwin made the following statement:

“The current national financial crisis has impacted our series to the degree that it has become impossible to produce the quality off road racing experience that our fans, racers and sponsors have enjoyed. While it has been our most sincere effort to hold this final event, every possible avenue was exhausted before reaching this difficult decision. Although we have been forced to prematurely end the current season, we are strongly committed to providing the ultimate off road racing experience on the most extreme tracks while continuing to grow the sport. We apologize to our sponsors, teams and especially to our loyal fans for any inconvenience that this has caused. Our commitment to this sport, sponsors, the teams, and fans that support us is unwavering. We will continue to vigorously pursue our objective: To build the most exciting nationally recognized short course off road racing series in the country.”

We consider Rick Huseman's Pro-4 truck to be the Weismann Flagship. Rick races a Weismann 5 speed Sequential with a custom 4WD Quick Change Transfer Case. Driving the front wheels is our innovative "Weismann Unlocker".
