Rob MacCachren has never driven a truck with our products until this year with the impressive Menzie's team led by Dave Clark. In his first 4 races, he has won 3 out of the 4 and has opened up a big lead in the championship!
In round 4 Rob MacCachren, qualifying fifth Sunday morning in Pro-2, in an inverted start put him fifth at the green flag and after slipping back to 10th on Lap 2 of the 18-lap race he worked his way back up to fourth when a competition yellow flag came out after lap 9. Picking a high line to the first turn after the restart, MacCachren got by two vehicles and then passed Carl Renezeder on turn 3 of Lap 11 to earn a 1.36 second victory margin over Renezeder in the 21-truck field.
“In Pro 2, our truck was set up by Dave Clark and the crew superbly and I was able to pick the right lines to chip our way around people and then finally get the lead.”
In round 3 Rob MacCachren, finished 6th in Pro-2. After qualifying first, an inverted start put him eighth at the green flag on Saturday and he was eventually slowed with a contact-caused flat right front tire after briefly working his way into the lead on Lap 14 in the 17 lap race.
In round 2, he started behind Carl Renezeder, but worked his way to the front early and never relinquished the lead.
In round 1 Rob MacCachren swept the Pro 2 season opener. He began Saturday’s Pro 2 race on the pole. He battled Ricky Johnson for the majority of the race securing the win following a Lap 10 caution flag.
