Round
5 of the Pro-4 Championship Off Road Racing
season saw some of the best racing yet as the
series' top drivers battled for every position
on the track. Josh Baldwin, on the pole held the
early lead and was joined coming out of turn 3
with Kyle LeDuc and Rick Huseman. Rick got
pinched and slammed into and suffered a
mechanical failure which slowed his truck,
relegating him to 7th by the end of the race.
LeDuc and Scott Douglas battled for the first half of the race, and a patient Carl Renezeder waited until the right time to sneak past both of them and take the lead. Renezeder took the low lines in the turns as Kyle LeDuc pressured Carl to the manditory yellow flag.
By lap 14 LeDuc, Douglas, and Johnny Greaves were hounding Renezeder. Lap 17 saw Greaves and LeDuc squeeze out Douglas coming out of turn 5. Then Greaves fought his way past Renezeder. In the final turn Greaves spun allowing Renezeder, Douglas and LeDuc to slip by and take the checkered flag!
In a fortunate turn of events, a Weismann Drivetrain 2-3-4 turned into a 1-2-3!
