Keith Lynn

Keith Lynn continues his dominance in Funny Bike!

May 3-4, 2008

Keith Lynn is on the straight line towards a 3rd consecutive Funny Bike Championship. After 3 rounds, Keith has the early lead in the championship, with the final round of round 2 still to be decided.

Travis Davis

In round 3 in Memphis, Tn.  Travis Davis led qualifying at 6.54 at 206 mph. Third in qualifying was Keith Lynn at 6.66 seconds. Travis broke in the semi-finals setting up a final between fellow Weismann KZ3 racers Troy Brown and Keith Lynn.

Troy Brown

Troy treed Keith when the lights dropped, but Keith came right back around him as Troy slowed and motored on win his first win of the year. Keith's reation time was .106 to Troy's .089. Keith went a 6.813 at 202.58 mph.

In round 2 in Atlanta, Ga. Keith Lynn showed he has no intention of giving up his Funnybike number one plate anytime soon, qualifying number one and setting low e.t. of the meet at 4.17 in his opening round bye. But the rains came and the final round will have to be run at another race to decide the winner.

In round 1 in Valdosta, Ga. Keith Lynn looked like he was on his way to a win with a low e.t. of 6.60 in round one and a 6.74 in the semifinals. But in drag racing, sometimes getting down the track is the hardest part and making one clean pass could get you a win.

In the finals veteran racer Perry Hollie got a big holeshot and was on a consistent pass as the quicker Lynn was in hot pursuit. Lynn couldn’t make a full pass, shutting off as the bike got out of the groove and Hollie was able to hang on for the win, 6.92 to Lynn’s 6.95.

Hollie scored his first-ever win against the reigning two time champ and for the first time he was the last to leave the track that night! Hollie qualified number four with a 6.90 and stayed in the 6.90s throughout eliminations. The field led by former champ Travis Davis at 6.68 and current champ Keith Lynn at 7.30.

Keith STILL has only one transmission for both of his engines.
