Now three races in a row and Team Taboo with our now legal Semi-Automatic Marine Multi-speed Gearboxes are once again decimating the opposition, this last time in Sarasota, Florida! For the first 6.6 mile lap of the 12 lap race, the Team Taboo Unlimited Vee ran neck and neck with a 32' DW cat in P1 class before they realized they were racing the wrong boat! Way out front and running comfortably, they backed off and cruised home, crushing the rest of the field by almost a lap!
"We layed down the gauntlet! We beat the Ilmor V10 powered Vee by a mile!" -said a jubilent Pat Weismann after the race! Winning the race flag to flag for the 3rd race in a row, the team is poised to win it's first Championship!
Current reigning World and National Champ J.D. Byrider almost came away with a win. Underpropped and just off on the overall setup- the US-1 cat just came short, getting passed on the last lap and finishing second.
