March 7-8, 2008
A total of 12 bikes qualified for the eliminations this weekend in Valdosta, Fl. for the opening round in the AMA Funnybike series, with 4 Weismann geared bikes making it to the lanes.

Triple Champion Keith Lynn struggled in qualifying and had the 5th fastest time.

Mark "Champ" Wagoner slotted in a solid 6th.
Robert Giard posted the
10th quickest time on John Morgan's awesome machine.
In the first round of eliminations, Travis, Champ, amd Keith all breezed through to the second round. Robert Giard's hope of advancing went up in tire smoke.
Second round of eliminations saw Travis paired up with reigning Champ Keith Lynn. The Champ got the jump on a sleeping Travis with a .019 R/T to Travis' .031. By the 60' mark, Travis woke up and had reeled him in, both recording a 1.108 second time! At the 330', Travis had a scant .001 second advantage with a 2.880 to Keith's 2.881! What a great drag race!
Champ ran uncontested through the traps! So going in to the last 2 round we had only two bikes left!
Travis Davis lined up against 3rd Qualifyer Danny Allaire- who seemd to finally be getting a hnadle on his new bike. But Travis was on a mission and recorded a 6.574 s pass at 204.6 to Danny's respectable 6.757 s 198.95 mph pass.
In the final round, Travis Davis's GS3 faced off with Champ Wagoner's KZ3. And again, Travis was not to be denied again this round and ran a blistering 6.587 s pass at 207.02 mph!
