Four races so far this season, and the reigning Pro 2WD Champion Rob MacCachren has not been in the winner's circle once. Rob has won an incredible 10 times in a row at the "Indianapolis of Winsconsin" track, and this year there was a stacked field in his way.
On the land rush start, Todd LeDuc's Pro 2 jumped out to the early lead, followed closely by Mark Oberg and Rob MacCachren. Mark succumbed to the pressure from Rob and spun out allowed him and Dan Vanden Heuvel to slip by. On lap four Mark Jenkins destroyed the right front of his truck and brought out the red flag which was changed to the competition yellow one lap early and the race turned into a five-lap shootout.
On the restart the only two trucks running Weismann B2T Underdrives, LeDuc and MacCachren, got away clean. MacCachren finally set up LeDuc on lap six passing him in the Gravel Pit on the outside line and led him to the checkers.
MacCachren got his 11th consecutive win at Crandon and his first 2WD win of the year.
