Friday night Round 15
The final two rounds of the exciting Traxxas TORC Pro 4 Series took place under the lights in Vegas and produced some of the most exciting racing of the season!
Kyle LeDuc was in 2nd place in the championship and needed to win both races while Rick would have to suffer from terrible luck and not finish both races to take the title from Rick.
Round 15 took place in appauling race conditions with the track surface coming apart and creating a huge, thick dust bowl, virtually blinding the drives, crews, fans and spotters.
Kyle took the win and Rick kept his cool and drove around to a quiet 5th place finish staying out of trouble and racing for the championship. Rick also got the Oakly Bomb award for the fastest lap, his 7th of the season!

Saturday night Round 16
All Rick had to do was start the race and with last place points he would take the championship providing he didn't receive a penalty. The track crews worked through night and all day on saturday and their efforts paid off as the track held together and gave the racers a wet, slick, muddy track to race on.
Rick started from his usual 6th spot position and drove around in 7th place until lap four when Johnny Greaves flipped himself out of the race and in doing so securing the Championship for Rick!
Adrian Cenni showed a moment of brillance on the same lap as he moved from 4th to first, but then he promply returned to his ol' Wildman self and drove right into a burm and broke the hood loose right in his face! Around the half way point, the race was stopped to water it down as the dust clouds literally starting exploding around the track.
Once the race restarted Rick started his charge to the front. Just after he passed Scott Douglas for 3rd, Scott bumped Rick hard and got back by. Then he blocked and bumped Rick everytime Rick pulled up on him to pass. It all came to a head as Scott drove into Rick over the table top and broke Rick's steering and ending his race.
Cheers erupted from the crowd for Rick as he emerged from his truck and he graciously bowed to the fans who were all giving him a standing ovation!
As Karma, or maybe Truckma would have it, Scott would not get away with it. Later in the race, he got bumped while running second by Adrian Cenni and an oil line broke igniting his truck in a huge ball of flame, ending his race and bringing the race to a stop with one lap to go to remove his stricken truck.
Huge attrition had wittled the pack down to just 4 trucks for a last lap dash to the checkered. Mike Jenkins, who had started in last place, was leading into turn one and all 4 trucks came together. Mike emerged in 4th from turn one while Curt LeDuc found the fastest way to pass Adrian Cenni was to just drive over him!
By the end of the lap Mike and Steve Barlow raced neck and neck to the checkered, with Mike taking his first Pro 4 race win. Curt LeDuc finished in 3rd and Adrian Cenni was 4th.
Rick Huseman finally got the monkey of his back and took his first Pro 4 Championship. Previously in his career he lead the Championship 5 times going into the final round, only to lose it everytime!
Rick also won the Oakey Bomb Award of the year for his 7 bombs during the season, the Engine Manufacturer Championship for Toyota, the Tire Championship for Toyo, and Driver of the Year award, which was voted by his racing peers!
This was our 5th Pro 4 Championship and 3rd in a row!!! We also swept the top three in the Championship as well with Kyle LeDuc racing our axles and Scott Douglas using our 4WD trasnfer case.
