Record heat and a new track challenged drivers in rounds 7 & 8 of the CORR racing series at Chula Vista, California. The first race was marred by a red flag on the first lap, followed by myriad crashes and mechanical problems for many of the racers, but not Carl as he commanded the race from flag to flag finishing well ahead the pack to record his second win of the season.
Round 8 started with a red flag on the first lap too, due to an extremely tight turn 3 and a multi-truck pileup. Once the green flag dropped again, Carl jumped out to a sizable lead, avoided the crashes, black flags, and mechanical woes that hindered our competition and won his 3rd race in 4 starts.
The Weismann geared PRO-2 truck now lies second in the championship with 78 points, one point behind leader Todd Le Duc.
