Keith Lynn and chief mechanic Roger Gordon decided that they were going to seriously make a run for the championship with a proven combination that they had been perfecting over the years. It didn't go exactly as he would have wanted it, but Keith's solid performances throughout the year proved to much for fellow Championship contenders Robert Giard and Travis Davis. Lynn never finished lower than 4th during the season as he reeled in early championship leader Robert Giard!

Travis had already put away the championship winner Keith Lynn in the semifinals with a staggering 6.52 second pass. Trvis set low ET and Top MPH leading into eliminations. And he cruised into the final round to meet rookie Mike Coulson i his first final appearance. Both riders on new bikes, which had proven difficult to dial in during the season, found themselves racing for the win in the dark, on a damp slick track as rains throughout the weekend delayed running. You can see here Travis has a few feet already on Mike as lights went green.
Travis, fresh of his first win of the season at Indy, made what couldhave been the quickest pass in Funnybike history!
Travis said "About the 1000' mark, I could see the cones and I didn't hear Mike anywhere close so I chopped it early!"
And he still recorded 6.51 second pass at 204 mph! Travis also set a carreer best 60' time and he ran a 4.19 s 1/8 mile at 174 mph as he also reeled in Robert and earned seond place in the championship

Weismann drag transmissions finished the 2006 Funnybike championship 1st with Keith using the pictured KZ3. 2nd went to Travis using the our first transmission for the Suzuki, the GS3. In 3rd place, Robert uses the KZ3 and 7th placed rookie James Guyton ran and GS3 too. Our transmissions won every event this year except one, and there we still finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. We congratulate all our riders, and especially to Keith - for bringing another National and World Funnybike Championship!
