Steve Rice piloted the green machine to win his first dragbike event since stepping of his machine in 2001. His pass of 6.944 at 214.59 mph was the fastest of the weekend and only .001 slower than his quickest pass in the semi-finals. Steve has been running our ZX3 since 1994 when he commissioned us to solve his gearbox woes. Pictured below is the ZX4.
Steve created a new series for the myriad moth-balled bikes out here on the west coast called Top Alcohol Motorcycle. Steve got together with the Pacific Street Car Association (PSCA) and World Finals Top Alcohol Motorcycle was contested for the first time November 19th and 20th at California Speedway in Fontana California.
