| Introducing WPF |
our 4 Speed Full Power Shifting Drag Transaxle

| The WPF is a 4 speed Over-Riding Automatic Computer Controlled Drag Transaxle. The WPF utilizes our unique forkless pneumatic shifter. Full Power shifting is possible with no engine cut or clutch blip. The transmission never passes through neutral between gear shifts. All forward speeds are push button selected. Neutral can be selected at any time with a neutral button push. Reverse is shifted separately by cable once neutral is selected. |

The WPF was designed in one month and completed in 4 months from a blank piece of paper. Chris Weismann worked closely with Nuformz's Shaun Carlson and Rob Miller to completely redesign the entire engine/drivetrain layout of their PRO FWD drag car. Two wooden transaxle mockups were built, and 13 design iterations were involved before the design was finalized. |

| The WPF's major feature is the transverse layout. With this layout, many advantages are possible, all of which are extremely beneficial to the overall chassis design and vehicle performance. The shifting is greatly improved because the acceleration loads are not trying to shift several gears at once. There is no ring gear and pinion to set, the final reduction is a spur gear set. The gear train is wrapped into the clutch can, placing the engine as low and as far forward as possible and placing the axles in line with the wheel centers. The transaxle ends before the wheel rim ends. | |

| The entire transmission housing and covers are CNC machined from a solid block of aluminum. The main case block weighed 350 lbs before machining, and 28 lbs afterwards. The WPF weighs less than it's rivals even though all the internals are substantially stronger. Shaun broke into the sevens, with his quickest pass at 7.54s, and fastest at 193 mph. | |
