Introducing   WHT

our latest

 6 Speed Semi-Automatic Longitudinal Transaxle

The WHT is a 6 speed Semi-Automatic Computer Controlled Longitudinal Transaxle. Reverse is shifted separately by cable. The WHT is shifted with our Patented pneumatic shifter. The WHT is designed around 12 bolt Chevy ring gear and pinions available in many different ratios.

The WHT started life in 1969 as the WFA, a 4 speed manual for Sir Jack Brabham's Indy car.  The WFA was the first transmission to qualify over 200 mph at Indy and it went on to win the Indy 500 3 times in 10 years and numerous races and championships on the USAC circuit.

The WFA was modified in 1978 for Al Teague's  Steamliner and recorded the fastest wheel driven car at 432 mph! The engine puts out over 3000 hp on 50% nitro. Al has logged more runs over 400 mph than anyone in history and never failed a part.

The new WHT was recently packaged into a 360 Ferrari. Due the Ferrari's unreliable engine and transmission, they were removed and replaced with a LS7-427 Supercharged Chevrolet V8 and our WHT. The engine produces 1100 lbft of torque at the wheels!

The Ferrari required no chassis modifications. The pulley on the back of the transmission is to drive the Vortec Supercharger. In an effort to harness the massive amount of torque now available, the C5R has 5 inch larger diameter tires, traction control, fly by wire throttle, and it is getting fitted with a Weismann Locker.

The new WHT can also be configured to run in offroad buggies and sand rails. The rear cover can be changed out to house internals for a 5 speed syncro, or with a standard dog shift with 4, 5, or 6 gears.
