Jerett Brooks wins back to back Pro 2 Championships with Weismann B2T Underdrive!
Coming into the final rounds in Glen Helen, Jerett Brooks needed to finish both races to ensure the title. By taking pole position for both races, Jerett gained enough points to take some pressure off, but in this sport nothing is for certain, even if you have the fastest truck.
Fighting Jerett (77) for the title was Doug Mittag (81) and Ryan Beat (51). Doug and Ryan have been running strong all year in their new trucks equipped with Weismann B2T Underdrives.
The top 4 starting positions were inverted and Jerett had to start in 4th. By the end of the first lap, Jerett was up into second and stalking Mittag.

Jerett took his time and when he got the chance, he made his pass stick and moved into the lead, taking his 6th win of the year and a good points cushion going into the final round.
Round 10 and another inverted start, this time the top 6 was inverted! So Jerett started in 6th next to Doug Mittag. By mid-race Jerret worked his way up to 2nd with Doug hot on his tail. The first time leader succumbed to the pressure and spun in front of Jerett. Jerett moved outside to avoid the spinning truck and Doug and Ryan Beat squeezed thru to take over the first two spots.
With Tanner Stephens in his ear over the radio telling him third was good enough for the championship, Jerett kept it clean, shadowing the trucks of Doug and Ryan to the finish and earning his second championship in 2 years!
Jerett won 6 races out of the 10 races held this year. Doug Mittag bagged 3 wins, Ryan Beat took a win in his rookie year, and RJ Anderson won 1 race too.
Mittag did all he could in the final round, taking the win. Hi consistency through out the year brought him oh so close to his first Pro 2 Championship, with 513 points to his name, Doug was just 2 points behind Jerett.
Ryan Beat finished a close 3rd in the championship with 481 points.

RJ Anderson had a quiet year in his number 37 truck, scoring only one win, and running a solid 4th in the championship.
Championship runner up last year, Rodrigo Ampudia was always in the hunt, but several DNFs took him out of the championship run early this year.
Adam Dafner, running with one of the first two Underdrives we made in the yellow truck with the red fenders, stepped up his game this year - finishing a couple of times in the top 5, and finishing the last race of the year in 5th!
Adam had zero issues with this 16 year old Weismann Underdrive!
The El Diablo truck will be back next year, but the rumor is we will be changing colors as well as name. El Diablo will be exchanging it's red color scheme for blue, and it's horns for a halo...
... El Santo is coming!
The Weismann B2T Underdrive won every race this year in Pro 2. With the exception of maybe Ricky Gutierrez's podium finish, the B2T held the top spots in every race. We say maybe, because Ricky is a rookie, and his truck might have our underdrive, we just don't know.
