Paul Horschel debuted his new Ultra 4 truck to Crandon Raceway with our P4T 4WD Single Speed Transfer Case. In the last race on Saturday night, he finished the race in 2nd place behind his teammate! Paul had been running on the rev limiter all race.
Then I get a text Paul after the race, it's midnight his time! They needed some help getting an overall ratio for the truck. With the gears they had, they were not sure if they could gear the truck the way they wanted to.

I called Paul and got the list of gears they had. I did some number crunching and I verified what they thought, they couldn't get the ratio with the gears they had in hand. But I worked out a few different ways to get what they wanted, we just needed to find some gears.
The first person I called was Tanner Stephens of the Brooks racing Pro 2 team and asked him what he had for gears for his B2T Underdrive. Tanner gave me a list of his personal stockpile of gears and after a few more minutes of number crunching, I asked Tanner if he could loan Paul a few gear sets.

I couldn't get exactly what Paul wanted, but I gave him a choice, taller or shorter. I gave the contacts to Paul and Tanner, and Tanner ended up giving them all the gear sets they had to that could have option to go to the other ratio if they changed their minds.
Paul went with the taller ratio which was just a bit too tall and the truck struggled to get going in the tighter turns. Paul finished a close 2nd, right behind his team mate again.
On the podium Paul thanked us for the help, which was cool to hear as we are not a paying sponsor. That's what we want, appreciative customers!
