Paul Horschel launched his new truck to pole position, beating a strong field of 40 competitors by over 2 seconds and Paul was the only man to break the minute barrier with a time of 59.05 seconds!
The Ultra4 4400 class race was an 8 lap event, each lap 5 miles of extremely rough terrian in Moab, Utah.
Paul's first lap was just over 16 minutes long, and he lead on track all day. Once he started catching the back of the field, dust and log jams cost him valuable time.

8 laps in front, Paul never got Passed, no one really got close. But behind him attriction was taking it's toll and trucks were stranded all over the course, some in places where you had no choice but to drive over them!
With a lap to go, Paul was told to pick up the pace and Paul pulled a minute of time out of his last lap. Paul would finish the race first on course, and then it is a waiting time for the rest of the trucks to finish. After all the remaining trucks finished, one truck ran the 8 laps quicker than Paul and stole the race from him.
With 3 2nd place finishes in a row, Paul is running strong for the championship. Out of Paul's stable of trucks, he has really two to pick from each race weekend. One has our P4T 4WD Single Speed Transfer Case and another has the 2 speed P4T2 Transfer. Both of those Unlimited Ultra4 trucks also have a select-able Weismann Unlocker driving the front half of the truck.
