The Pro 4 Unlimited Championship came down to the last race between Kyle LeDuc and Carl Renezeder. Mechanically speaking, it was a Weismann Unlocker against an imitation Unlocker.
With Carl on pole, slick track conditions and a new shorter track layout, the cards were stacked against Kyle starting down in 5th.
Tied in points, Renezeder led the first lap, ahead of Rob MacCachren racing our SWR SideWinder Front Differential, and followed by Eric Barron and Kyle LeDuc, both racing our Weismann ULR Unlockers.
By the Competition Yellow on lap eight, LeDuc had flown up to 3rd, but only a win would give him the title.
On the restart, LeDuc muscled past MacCachren and focusing on Renezeder. Renezeder had the widest truck in the field as he desperately tried to keep LeDuc behind him lap after lap.
On the final lap, Renezeder overcooked it into turn 1 and LeDuc got down the inside. Through turn 2 they were side by side with LeDuc on the inside line going into turn 3.
With the smooth drive-ablility of the ULR, LeDuc took the tight inside line and the lead going into turn 4!
LeDuc's front wheels roosted around the final turn and home to victory and our 3rd straight Pro 4 Unlimited Championship with Kyle!
After a dismal first 5 races, Kyle won 8 of the last 10 races, to come from behind and take the crown like a true Champion!
