Wauria 1, piloted this time by Reg Cook (left), reset the World Record at an average speed of 260.7 mph over two passes!
Wauria 1 has been running like a bracket bike with 4 record passes all with the same exit speed of 266 mph!

The team is going to add NOS to the engine and pick off another record at the next meet.
In this picture we have the 3 vehicles running Weismann products at the USFRA meet!
On the trailer, the Turbinator, ran 430 mph on a very sketchy pass. The Turbinator kept destroying its rear tires on every pass. It is very hard to throttle a turbine, especially on the salt.

Tucked behind the Wairua 1 above, is "Cookie", a Nissan Coupe, sold only in New Zealand.
Initially we had only made a drysump system for Cookie.
Then the transmission failed at the last meet. Chris Wakula brought the destroyed transmission and the spare, which he determined to have issues as well, back to our shop for an overhaul.
He found the reason for the failure and we rebuilt the spare with some new custom parts.
The result...
Cookie is the first coupe to run over 200 mph and it set a New World Record at 191 mph!
If we had more salt to run on, both cars would have gone faster as they were still pulling thru the traps.
The Black Salt Team decided again not to run this year due to poor salt conditions.
