On June 25, 2026, at Mission Raceway Park in Canada, off the trailer, Austin Christopher became the first rider in Funnybike history to break the 6 second barrier, with a 5.9945 second pass!
Gary Christopher, with his hands on his head, can't believe his eyes either.

Turn it up!
On June 29th, after the rains lifted and at the end of the day as the feature attraction, Austin lined up to attempt to set a time quick enough to back up the pass made on friday, and make the record official.
Austin went .0023 seconds quicker, to lower the record even more, officially at 5.9922 in the 1/4 mile! This is the first alcohol burning bike to get into the 5 second club world wide!
My good friend, the late James Daughtery cut his teeth on computer aided design and machining with this custom 2L engine. He designed his 2L engine using a head from a GS Suzuki and cams from a KZ Kawasaki.
James sent me a CAD file of his engine and I designed a "Weismann Style" 4 speed gearbox within.
Together we made this beast of a billet block and transmission package, to give drag racers a competitive alternative to modifying stock motorcycle engine cases.
3 riders bought into the dream, and the wily Gary Christopher is the first one of them to prove it's potential.
Recently Gary stepped off the bike when he realized it was too much bike for him and he wisely handed over the reins to his son Austin to handle the green machine.
Gary is focusing on maintaining and tuning the bike now and
there is more to come as Gary is itching to put some more power to it now that she is running reliably!

I said I'd keep you posted!
Austin, Gary, his wife Sherry, machinist John and the rest of the team have achieved the dream of having the first Funny Bike to break the 6 second barrier!
