Introducing the Weismann "Dual-Sport" 2 Speed Hi/Lo gearbox

​Considered the best Side-by-Side on the market, the YXZ was geared for going fast, but not for going slow. If you wanted to rock crawl or ride through difficult terrain, you had to buy and install aftermarket gear sets to lower your ratios.

But you still are not able to get the speeds low enough, and at the same time, the changes you made cost you valuable top speed, a compromise you had to put up with.

With the Weismann Dual-Sport 2 speed gearbox, you can have the best of both worlds. Effectively you can now have 5 speeds for the most difficult terrains, and 5 speeds for the fast terrains!

This is the ideal gearbox for those competing in races like the King of the Hammers, where you need the lowest possible ratios to negotiate the tight boulder trails, and the highest possible ratios to fly across the desert.

The Low range ratio is 3.02, and the High is 1 to 1.

For those of you that have already installed lower ratios into your YXZ, the Dual-Sport can get help you go slower still, and give you control to negociate difficult terrain.

​The Dual-Sport mounts directly to the transmission, and once in place, you still have access to your clutch. The Dual-Sport works with standard clutches and lock out clutches. It also works with the standard paddle shift equipped YXZs.

The Dual-Sport can be installed without removing the transmission from the vehicle. It is light weight and compact. It is designed to drop in with the least amount of changes.

The Weismann Dual-Sport is shifted with a small switch.  that is directly connected to the gearbox for maximum feel. The shift handle will be positioned just left of the emergency brake, on the center counsel.
